Port of Pasco is administered by a Board of Commissioners; each Commissioner is elected for a six-year term.
Commission Vacancy
Beginning January 1, 2025, the Port of Pasco Board of Commissioners will have a District 3 vacancy. District 3 encompasses most of North Franklin County, including Connell, and the northern limits of Pasco. District boundaries can be found at the Franklin County Auditor's office website by clicking here to view on GIS, or by downloading the Port District map here.
The Port of Pasco is accepting application until 12pm on January 3rd for said vacancy. Please send applications and inquiries to Lori French at lfrench@portofpasco.org.
Applicants must provide the following:
- A statement of interest
- Resume or CV
- Residency certification from the Franklin County Auditor's office, verifying the applicant's District 3 residency, and
- Registered voter verification from the Franklin County Auditor's office.

Meeting Information
The Port of Pasco Commission typically meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the Port of Pasco Administration Office and are open to the public. Changes to meeting dates or time are posted on our website, along with meeting agendas, at least two days prior to each scheduled meeting. Agendas contain information for attending meetings virtually (Zoom) or in person.

RCW 9.41.305- Open Carry of Weapons Law
Open carry firearms or other weapons are prohibited at the Port of Pasco during Commission meetings or public hearings, pursuant to RCW 9.41.305.
Per RCW 9.41.300(1)(b), “weapons” means any firearm, explosive as defined in RCW 70.74.010, or any weapon of the kind usually known as a slingshot, sand club, metal knuckles, knife, dagger, dirk, or other similar weapon capable and commonly used with the intent to cause death or bodily injury.
